Sunny Seattle Day's

Outfit: Leggings- Alice and Olivia, Top- Phillip Lim, Shoes- Preview International

I've always had this conception that Seattle was rainy and cold every day of the year. While driving into the city I was in amazed by it's beauty. The city is just like San Francisco only with more tree's and in my opinion cooler architecture ( of course maybe it's because I see the San Francisco sights everyday.) I attended a Red Sox game and my section was crowded with Mariners fans. My family was drawing many eyes by not cheering for the home team. We showed up early for batting practice and John Lackey even handed my brother a ball!
Earlier in the day we went to pikes place market basically the Seattle version of San Francisco's fisherman's wharf, I loved it. I had the best cheesecake, walked along the water front, and at the tastiest biggest clams ever! It was a long street full of vibrant flower, handmade crafts and jewelry and even a farmers market. Although very touristy it is a must see the liveliness was refreshing. It's even worth a quick visit just to see the original Starbucks, yes it's just like a normal one with the exception of a long. long. long. line but the cute picture near the sign and a delicious frap afterwards was worth it. I can't wait till tomorrow hopefully the weather will stay like this!

Big City Girl In a Small Town

Outfit- Shoes- Tory Burch, Shorts- Forever 21 Shirt- Theory, Belt- Thrifted Necklace- Vntage

This week my family took a road trip up towards the North West. Our mission was to look at potential colleges for my older brother, but for me it was escaping the fog and breaking out into my true summer wardrobe. I love long car drives with my family but my favorite part are the rest stops that we hit on the way up. The cutest little towns were refreshing compared to the big city buildings that I'm used to. We'll be hitting University of Oregon, Seattle University, and Gonzaga but what I'm truly looking forward to is the Red Sox vs. Mariners game we'll be attending Friday! You guys may not know yet but I am a die hard Sox fan.

An Early Morning Farmer's Market

Today I went to the Farmer's market to find some yummy fruits and veggies to eat. My mom has been raving about it for weeks but can never get me out of bed on a Sat morning to go. Today I finally woke up early enough threw some sweats on, put my hair in a bun, brushed my teeth, and got in the car.  Upon arrival I was amazed by how colorful all the foods were. Being used to whatever Safeway's produce aisle has to offer ( which isn't much at all.) I felt like I've been missing out on this event for way too long. Seriously, are those eggplants or bell peppers? when did bell peppers turn purple? What's the difference between and early girl tomato and a shady lady tomato? I felt stupid that these were the questions coming to my mind but my food innocence has been broken. My mother attends the market every sat morning and I know I am going to be a regular now. From my experience I learned that I need to incorporate more yellow into my wardrobe, look how beautiful it looks on that sunflower.!

Pink. Patent. Pearls.

Outfit: Dress/Blazer- St. John, Heels- YSL

In my eyes St. John never gets old nor dated, just classier as the years go on. I wore this outfit to work but am thinking about wearing it to a brunch later this year. An organization called Girls Town Of Italy has an annual fashion show and brunch. The event will raise money for the non profit organization which has an all girls orphanage set up in Rome, Italy. This year my mother and I are lucky enough to be part of the chairing committee and are really excited for the event. Of course many of the ladies attending are are the best dressed ladies of out city, San Francisco. Even though I'm 16, I want to look like I belong. I'm trying to stay away from an outfit that is to girly and would make me look younger and an nor any dress a 16 year old would wear going out to a party with her friends. My favorite thing about this dress is the color, I know it's vibrant and I'll stand out but hey, I don't mind the attention and I love pink!

Born To Be Wild- Dressing Like Vanessa Hudgens

Outfit: Dress- modcloth, Shoes- Report Signature, Clutch- Betty Jackson, Necklace- Anton Heunis

I've loved Vanessa Hudgens since High School Musical and I could have sworn I dropped a tear when she and Zac Efron split; I mean come on Vanessa how could you let Zac go ;) Her latest cheetah dress has got me wanting one of my own.  It was sexy and classy and perfect with her new short hair.
The cut of the Modcloth dress I found has a more girly touch to it, which I love. I'm obsessed with both dresses but feel the Modcloth dress would be more flattering on most girls because it is more structured and has a waist. I adore the trend of chain necklaces and must admit I have a few myself. They are easy to get at Forever 21 or HM for cheap prices. Can't wait to pull this outfit together for myself and maybe get it ready in time for school; I cant believe it's only two weeks away till orientation!

If Your Cold In The Summer, You Must Be In San Francisco

Top- Thrifted Skirt- hand made necklace- Thrifted
My summer job is working at my mother's clothing store in San Francisco. With my mom having many years of working in the industry under her belt over time she has collected an amazing collection of clothes. Not wanting to be upstaged by my mother's outfit I always try to look my best. Of course this means sneaking into her closet and stealing her clothes once in a while ha! San Francisco's weather is always an obstacle with its constant chill and fog so I like to find outfits that are not only cute but keep me warm! This handmade skirt is fun and colorful but also thick and comfy! I paired it with the black top but I've been on the search for a cute black bustier or corset top to go with this too. Adding the blue necklace to the outfit helped bring out the spots of blue in the skirt.

My New Obsession With DIY's

This week I've been obsessed with "More Design Please". Their DIY's are to die for and absolutely look store bought. The sailors bracelet which can be made by simply purchasing string is being sold at Urban Outfitters for $6. The braided hex nut bracelet is cute on its own but I was thinking if you made more than or put other golden bracelets on it will add more affect! The turquoise one is by far one of my favorite DIY's I've seen, how fun is it? Of course you can replace the beads with any color you like but I'm loving the turquoise. Check out all the other designs on "More Design Please" under DIY. Last night I couldn't stop myself from clicking next page every time I hit the bottom of the pages.

I solemnly swear that I am up to no good ;P

Outfit : Shirt- Anne Fontaine, Tie-From my brother's school uniform, Skirt- American Apparel Boots- Thrifted
I'll never be accepted into Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry but it's always been one of my dreams. I've been a fan since the beginning so I thought I'd go out with a bang by dressing up as a Hogwarts school girl from the house of Gryffindor of course. I thought I was being creative and cut a small branch off a tree to use as a wand, but once I arrived I saw electronic wands that sparkled and made sound affects; I quickly ditched my sorry twig. So 7 books and 8 movies later I've never grown out of my Harry Potter obsession but I have fallen in love with Twilight. I can't wait to dress up as a Vampire ha. although I must admit I am a bit stumped all I can think of is fangs, fangs, fangs and thanks to Stephanie Meyer Vampires don't have any but Stay tuned.
